What this site collects
ACSizeCheck has no accounts, sign-up forms or newsletter, and it does not ask for personal information to show you a city. The city search and the square-foot calculator run in your browser. The hosting provider, Firebase Hosting (Google), automatically records standard request logs, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, which are used for security and to keep the site running.
Cookies and advertising
ACSizeCheck does not currently set advertising cookies or run analytics. If advertising is added, this section will name the vendors and cookies involved before they go live.
Affiliate links and quote requests
No affiliate relationship or contractor referral is live on this site today. If one goes live, such as a link to an air conditioner retailer or a request for installer quotes, this paragraph and the affected page's disclosure line switch on together, from the same setting, so a paid relationship can never appear silently. A referral would never change a city's load or recommended size.
Data sources are not data about you
Climate figures come from NOAA, city locations from the Census Bureau and electricity prices from the EIA. No personal data is exchanged with them. ACSizeCheck does not sell personal information.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA and similar laws elsewhere give you rights over personal information, including to know what is held, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for advertising. For anything ACSizeCheck itself holds, which is limited to the hosting logs above, email hello@acsizecheck.com.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
